This is a test piece, my first attempt at silk fusion techniques from Lorna Moffat’s book Silk Unraveled. The tiny bookmark I posted recently was a sub-sub-project to be certain the “pillowslip” method of attaching the backing would work.
This is a reverse applique method; the outline of the tree was cut with an Xacto knife. The flowers were snippets of silk left from the main project, which is a panel with several different blocks. Stay tuned!
